Sandunes (Sanaya Ardeshir), an Indian music producer, composer, and performer, aimed to create dynamic computational visuals that would enhance her music videos and live performances.
Our Approach
Our approach to Sanaya’s objective was to create a series of responsive, real-time visuals. The visuals pay homage to the 1970s Rutt Etra synthesizer- a pioneering form of analog video synthesis known for its ability to manipulate scan lines in video footage. We extended these analog techniques into the digital realm using generative modeling, developing a custom pipeline that created a pulsating visual canvas. These visuals echoed the depth and hues of desert expanses, evolving with the music.
